How much temperature can a PCB board withstand?

Publisher: Administrator   Date:2025-11-05

The limit is 280 degrees Celsius.

When repairing SMT components on printed circuit boards (PCBs), for resistors and capacitors below 1206 and components with an area of less than 5 square millimeters, the solder joint temperature is required to be about 50 degrees Celsius higher than the melting point of the solder, which is between 250 and 270 degrees Celsius;

For large components, the soldering iron temperature should be set between 350 and 370, with a maximum of 390. The soldering time should not be too long, only a few seconds, as it will not damage the solder pads on the PCB board under these conditions.

Also known as a printed circuit board, it is a provider of electrical connections for electronic components. It has developed for over 100 years; Its design mainly involves layout design; The main advantage of using a circuit board is that it greatly reduces wiring and assembly errors, and improves the level of automation and production labor.
